Product Owner ROI

Summary
Business necessity or window dressing?
Increasingly “Product” roles are centred around owning the digital platforms within a business - taking responsibility for matching business strategy to the development cycle, then aligning resources and budgets to make it happen.
As this sounds - it’s a very big job - and comes with potentially huge responsibility. There is no roadmap, and a job specification that often reads more like a “would like to have” rather than what can be done.
This dinner will bring together Product people and their clients (CTO’s, CDO’s etc) to chat about some of the opportunities and challenges in getting value from the product teams.
Come - you will learn more than you share - and we’ll all get to laugh at how the latest nomenclature is being redefined.
- Alignment - How does the product team effectively prioritise workstreams & backlog to deliver outcomes?
- Definition - Where does “product” start and end? Owned platforms are less well defined in this new world, and as they become “composed” where is the grey?
- Measurement - How are we measuring Product Owners? Efficiency? Momentum and alignment against the business? Any others to include?
