Summary

How to become social-first

It was ever thus. With every new marketing channel it’s the startups that get there first, building organic reach before the ad platform really starts to sweat businesses. And so it has seemed for the TikTok generation of brands.

We all know brands that have leveraged social, and indeed some grew up using social at their very heart (Gymshark are still doing this). For longer-established businesses, high-street retail as well as everyone across D2C, hospitality and almost every sector - “Social first” is what matters now.

Are you relevant? Do you listen to your community? What is your content engine like? Is your UGC strategy fully formed? How does social play into your brand voice and can you really ignore it?
